StarNine Debuts WebSTAR 3.0.1 for Mac OS

StarNine Technologies, Inc. this week announced the release of WebSTAR 3.0.1, the latest free update to the WebSTAR 3.0 suite of integrated Mac-based Internet servers.


This update includes several fixes and improvements, including additional FTP client support, enhanced HTTP support, and improved site indexing and search features.


WebSTAR 3.0.1 now features an integrated FTP server that supports a large variety of FTP clients. FTP permissions are fully configurable, and allow many FTP login styles, from simple anonymous logins to complex configurations. WebSTAR’s index and searching capabilities have also been improved with increased reliability and more accurate search results.


The WebSTAR product line, including WebSTAR/SSL, WebSTAR FTP, and Proxy servers, can be downloaded from the StarNine Technologies Web site. The latest release of WebSTAR 3.0.1 sells for a retail price of $499, with upgrade pricing available for earlier users.
