Concentric Network Corp. Monday
teamed with Intranets.com’s to offer free enterprise
tools to its small- and medium-sized business clients.

The service will be offered from Concentric’s (CNCX)
online gateway, a business center designed to improve the quality of
enterprises.

In less than six months since the idealab! incubator launched its free
intranet service, 90,000 small businesses and groups have
registered for their own custom intranet. The Intranets.com portal solution
provides users with everything they need to create their own intranet —
from collaboration applications and custom news to personalized vendor
services. The
Intranets.com business applications enable organizations to manage
documents, publish community announcements and maintain users’ contact
information.

“We win by reaching new customers and our partners win by gaining a service
to add breadth and depth to their offerings. And clearly,
our joint customers win from all angles,” said Steve Crummey, chief
executive officer of Intranets.com.

Intranets.com took a step toward the limelight last week by signing on with
advertising firm DoubleClick’s (DCLK)
in a deal that gives the ad powerhouse exclusive rights to sell ads on
Intranets.com’s sites. With the agreement, Intranets.com will use
DoubleClick’s ad serving and tracking technology.
