Many movers and shakers in the investment and technology communities will be watching Microsoft today, as the company holds its annual Financial Analysts’ Meeting.
Of course the prospect of an executive shuffle, already being whispered around Wall Street and across the Web, isn’t likely to get an official address at the event.
The meeting, FAM, in shorthand, serves as a showcase for Microsoft to provide a business update and to showcase its latest technology. Likely headliners are Microsoft’s plans for the fall rollout of Windows Phone 7 devices, tablet computers and the search partnership with Yahoo. Datamation previews the event.
It’s the end of July, which means that Microsoft will hold its 2010 Financial Analysts’ Meeting (FAM) — the company’s annual confab for important technology and financial influencers — on Thursday.
One of analysts’ biggest questions, however, is unlikely to be addressed at the event — whether or not Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) will shake up the highest echelons of the company’s management team anytime soon, a move that might help boost the stock’s lethargic performance of late.
