Ask Jeeves reported third-quarter earnings of 25 cents a share, meeting analyst estimates, and revenues grew 178.5% year-over-year to $75.7 million, topping $74.8 million forecasts. But fourth-quarter revenue guidance of $86 million was under $87.7 million estimates, and 2005 guidance also came in at the low end of estimates.

Advancers led 22-10 on the NYSE, and 21-9 on the Nasdaq. Upside volume was 73% on the NYSE, and 83% on the Nasdaq. New highs-new lows were 237-28 on the NYSE, and 163-58 on the Nasdaq.
