NEW ZEALAND — Kiwi software developer BulletProof Software has teamed up with Gene6 SARL to extend the frontier for its newly launched Windows-based BulletProof FTP Server.

BulletProof Software is a privately owned internet software company based in Auckland.
Gene6 SARL is based in Lille, France. BulletProof Software develops one of the top FTP clients for Windows and achieves in excess of one million downloads a year for the BPFTP product and six figure sales since its 1997 release.

Gene6 SARL develop Gene6 FTP Server, which enables individual users and companies to set-up their own FTP servers to allow transferring files to and from their computers and networks.

The two companies are now marketing their products, seen as an essential software suite for maintaining the web, under the one BulletProof Software banner.

The move enables both parties to focus on what they do best. “Gene6 and BPFTP can develop their products and we will market both using our company’s brand name reputation and extensive set of world-wide partnerships,” says BulletProof Software marketing vice president, Thomas Scovell.

Andrew Connell CEO of BulletProof Software says hes been a fan of Gene6 Server since its first release.”It is a killer product that we are very proud to now release under our brand name.”

The first release of BulletProof FTP Server signals the last release of Gene6 FTP Server. All existing customers are being migrated over to the new product. Bulletproof FTP Server is now available for free evaluation download.
