Excite Australia launched Excite Travel, a new co-branded
channel on its site being operated in conjunction with travel.com.au, an Australian Internet
travel company.
The channel will feature “My Travel”, a personalization feature in Excite
Travel and on the My Excite Start Page that provides users with updates on
favorite holiday destinations and what special packages are available.
“We have created one of the most comprehensive and unique travel channels in
Australia,” said Amy Smith, director of programming and content for Excite
@Home Australia.
Excite Travel will contain the full range of travel.com.au services,
including travel information such as flight schedules, car rentals, lodging
accommodation and links to other relevant travel sites.
Other travel tools include a new and improved currency converter, information
on time zones across the world and weather data.
Excite @Home Australia (ATHM) (formerly At Home Network Australia) was formed in
June 1999 through the joint venture of Excite @Home and Australian integrated
communications company Cable & Wireless Optus.
