Remote access provider iPass Inc.
Tuesday said more than 75 new Internet service
providers have recently joined its roaming service.
The new partners include regional access providers in India, Malaysia,
Japan, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.
The company said there are now more than 650 ISPs
currently offering iPass remote access services through their 3,200
access points around the world.
“The increasing size and widespread reach of our new service provider
partners reinforces iPass’ dominant position in the Internet roaming
and corporate remote access market,” said Chris Moore, iPass president and
chief executive officer.
Moore added the “recent wave of expansions is further evidence of
iPass’ ability to support the critical Internet communication needs of
mobile business professionals.”
iPass enables ISPs to instantly extend their physical networks around
the world without having to add infrastructure or establish bilateral
service agreements. ISPs can provide secure Internet roaming services
to businesses through iPass networks in 150 countries worldwide.
