Harvey World Travels Online

[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] Brick and mortar retailer Harvey World Travel has signed
an agreement with Penzance Travel Technology for the development of its Web
site. The new site will allow travelers to make online bookings and plan
itineraries in Australia, as well as remote locations in South Africa and
New Zealand from next September.

Harvey World Travel, together with Penzance, will to use the Airlines
Reservations OnLine (ARNOLD) system for multi-point and complex airline
booking procedures.

The ARNOLD system will allow Harvey World Travel customers to make
online flight bookings to a central reservations point or redirect an
enquiry to the franchise of their choice following the matching of airfares
from a private fares database, and seat availability from global airline
reservations systems with their itineraries.

The Web site will also invite users to join a personal database, which
will store information relating to their travel preferences and interests and
be used as a targeted personal newsletter.

“Our new generation site will allow us to develop a closer relationship
with our clients, which will encourage them to spend more time with us
online or with our franchisees, while also allowing us to compile relevant
information about our database,” said Harvey World Travel Australian
manager Barry Mayo.

“Our new e-commerce facility and Web site will provide excellent
efficiencies in our operations, cut costs and be coordinated with our
national call center, which is currently being developed and will be
launched later this year,” Mayo said.
