Impinj Wins “Most Promising Technology” Award

Seattle-based fabless semiconductor company Impinj Inc. recently received the “Most Promising New Technology” award from Washington state’s influential technology association, the WSA.

Impinj said Tuesday that the honor is the fourth award for technical and business excellence the company has received since officially launching the company less than six months ago. In December 2001, the company was nmaed by the Fabless Semiconductor Association as a “Startup of the Year” and was also voted “Best of the Best Emerging Technologies” by Red Herring. The company was also selected by the MIT Technology Review as one of “seven hot new technology start ups in 2001.”


“The WSA award is another tremendous honor for Impinj,” said William Colleran, Ph.D., chief executive officer of Impinj. “Not only are our peers distinguishing us for innovative excellence in developing Self-Adaptive Silicon technology, but we are being acknowledged as part of Washington state’s world-class technical community.”
