Seattle.internet.com has learned that the Keller Graduate School of Management (www.keller.edu), a division of DeVry Inc., opened its doors in Bellevue yesterday. It will be offering master’s degree programs in business administration, human resource management, information systems management, project management, telecommunications management and accounting and financial management.
In an interview this morning, Keller Graduate School’s Center Director Lee McConaghy told seattle.internet.com that the school’s MBA program is currently offering four courses in e-commerce, ranging from marketing to strategy.
According to McConaghy, the school is attracting students that are interested in leveraging their technology background with business management skills. “We are finding that people in the industry are realizing that for the long-term it is important to acquire basic business management skills,” says McConaghy.
The school is currently accepting applications for its next term that begins in February. Keller/Bellevue offers five 10-week terms a year, so the typical student may complete a master’s degree in about three years.
A second Keller site, scheduled to open in 2001, will be co-located with DeVry Institute of Technology in its new Federal Way campus. “We’re excited to open this center in the Pacific Northwest given the region’s
rising demand for part-time evening graduate programs, ” says the school’s Dean Tim Ricordati.
“Keller/Bellevue will provide maximum flexibility for students, many of whom are working adults juggling professional and family responsibilities.”
