MDSI Rolls Out eService.com

[Richmond, CANADA] With MDSI’s new eService.com site, service
companies can leverage Web and wireless technologies to sell,
schedule, dispatch and manage services online.

MDSI Mobile Data Solutions (NASDAQ: MDSI; TSE: MMD) is a worldwide
solutions provider to the service sector.

“With a strong team of partners and our company’s track record of
supplying sophisticated mission-critical workforce management
solutions that schedule, wirelessly dispatch, and manage work orders
for large enterprises globally, MDSI stands alone in the market in
our ability to drive the next wave of e-commerce–the service
sector’s move to online transactions,” said Ken Miller, MDSI’s chief
executive officer.

Providing wireless service management solutions for mobile
workforces, MDSI serves more than 100 clients worldwide, including
AT&T Wireless Services, Belgacom, Cox Communications, Florida Power
and Light, and Pacific Gas & Electric.

Miller believes that the biggest inhibitor to the service industry’s
entry into the digital economy has been the lack of software
infrastructure required to allow service companies to readily
automate their businesses and enable consumers to make purchases in a
self-service environment.

Miller added, “With the introduction of eService.com, we’ve created
simple-to-use, yet extremely powerful solutions allowing service
companies to optimally run their businesses using the same
sophisticated tools that large service companies have enjoyed for
years.

Earlier this year, MDSI inked an agreement to acquire Connectria, an
application service provider (ASP) and provider of online service
management solutions for service companies. For more information, see
