Mecklermedia Acquires CyberAtlas Site

Mecklermedia, publisher of InternetNews.com, today
announced its 18th Web Site acquisition with the purchase of CyberAtlas.com


CyberAtlas.com was bought from Internet Profiles Corp. (I/Pro) last week.
Financial terms were not disclosed.


The new site will be added to Mecklermedia’s Internet.com network of sites.
CyberAtlas compiles and analyzes research about the Internet and
information technologies. It features reports focusing on Web demographic
market, electronic commerce, advertising, browsers, modems and servers.


“CyberAtlas.com is used principally by Web marketers and Internet
industry professionals to support business decisions,” said Alan M.
Meckler, chairman and CEO, Mecklermedia Corp.


Since its 1996 launch, CyberAtlas.com has garned awards including being
named as one of PC Magazine’s 1998 Top 100 Web Sites. The site has also
been highlighted in Internet surveys such as the GVU study.
