With piracy remaining a serious threat, companies are proceeding very cautiously with streaming any sensitive information. If two Northwest companies have their way, however, companies won’t be worried much longer.
Bellevue-based Midstream Technologies has teamed up with Seattle-based Widevine technologies embedding the Widevine Cypher into Midstream’s multi-gigabit streaming appliance.

According to Brian Baker, President and Founder of Widevine Technologies, the deal comes at a very opportune time.
“Higher quality, faster streaming with a powerful security solution protecting valuable and proprietary content that’s what video and music entertainment companies, large corporations, governments around the world and other entities are demanding from the Internet and from streaming media,” said Baker.
The relationship between the two companies is non-exclusive.
