and IDG Books Workdwide Inc. plan to jointly produce a new line
of books and CD-ROMs aimed at consumers and enterprise users.

The books will be published under the Netscape Press name and will focus on
Netscape products and technologies. Details of the partnership were

book line will make information on the company’s software more accessible.

“Netscape Press fits into our company-wide initiative to provide customers
with the highest level of product support. IDG Books Worldwide’s reputation
for publishing high-quality books makes this the right partnership to help
customers using and deploying Netscape products,” she said.

Steve Sayre, IDG Books’ associate publisher, said Netscape will collaborate
with the company on titles and content.

“We think the combination of IDG Books Worldwide’s editorial expertise and
Netscape’s wide range of consumer and business products will make for a
breakthrough new series,” he said.
