Real Networks Inc announced partnerships with forty-five new content providers. These new content providers will join over 100 existing media companies in providing programming available through Take5, a programming showcase built into RealPlayer7.

Topping the list of new partners are eMusic.com, Riffage.com, and Garageband.com. In addition, a co-marketing agreement with Liquid Audio now allows users of RealJukebox to access Liquid’s catalog of more than 70,000 secure music downloads.

Take5’s expanded content reflects the tremendous growth the company has experienced. Not only has the company grown from one employee to approximately 700 over the past five years, but also has played a role in establishing Seattle’s reputation as an Internet Town. “Real Networks continues to help put Seattle at or near the center of the Internet universe,” says Mark Hall, Vice President of Media Publishing.

Take 5 features a streaming media selection of music and entertainment clips, and now downloadable music, which can be accessed through RealPlayer7. Hall is excited about Take5 and its expanded content. “It’s actually entertainment in and of itself, yet it gives you all the capabilities that a guide would have,” says Hall.

The 45 new content providers join such media suppliers as MTV and Comedy Central to offer consumers with direct access to audio and video programming on the Internet.
