NEW YORK, Sept. 26–Predictive Systems , a
network infrastructure consulting firm, announced it has entered into a
definitive agreement to acquire Synet Service Corporation, a
Minneapolis-based consulting firm that helps companies optimize the
availability and reliability of their e-business applications and network
infrastructure. The Synet acquisition is
expected to enable Predictive
Systems to continue on its course to becoming a dominant player in the
network infrastructure space by providing solutions that deliver
business-based results to customers. The deal is valued at approximately
$42.4 million with Predictive issuing 2,205,331 shares of its common stock
and $9 million in cash.

solutions/e-commerce and connectivity company, announced that it has
acquired LanMinds, a business-focused Internet connectivity and Web
solutions provider based in Berkeley, California. Merging LanMinds into RMI.NET is expected to create value for
RMI.NET’s shareholders in three key ways: first, the LanMinds management
team will help maximize the performance of RMI.NET’s existing assets;
second, RMI.NET will gain entry into the Japanese market; and third,
LanMinds will accelerate the company toward its goal of EBITDA neutrality
in December 2000. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

remittance processors. Sonicport.com, an application service

broadband hosting, technical support and customer service, will acquire US Dataworks in a stock transaction
valued at approximately $11 million.

VANCOUVER, B.C., Sept. 26–NetNation Communications , a global Web site hosting company, domain name registrar
(DNR) and application service provider (ASP), announced that it has entered
into a non-binding letter of intent to acquire privately held American
Digital Network, an e-commerce and Web site hosting company, for 2.25
million common shares of NetNation.
The American Digital Network acquisition
is expected to give NetNation an established network operations center,
saving both time and expense of building its own data center in
California.
