SUNNYVALE, July 31–Redback Networks , a
provider of advanced networking solutions, announced that it has signed a
definitive agreement to acquire Abatis Systems of Vancouver, Canada
for Redback common stock valued at $636 million. Abatis Systems has developed service
creation and management tools that reduce the cost and complexity from the
deployment of value-added IP services. The integration of Abatis Systems’
service creation and management capabilities with Redback subscriber management and metro
optical solutions will allow the company to rapidly accelerate service
revenue opportunities for its carrier and service provider customers.
Redback Networks will issue about 5.2 million shares for all outstanding
shares, options and warrants of Abatis Systems.

global application service provider (ASP), announced the acquisition of two
Dallas-based companies, Interactive Software and Milestone
Services, related companies offering Oracle services to the private,
public and non-profit sectors. Through these acquisitions, Interliant is well positioned to
rapidly provide hosted Oracle ASP solutions. Financial terms were not

announced that it has entered into definitive agreement to be acquired by
U.S. Technologies for approximately $35 million
in U.S. Technologies’ common stock and
cash. Under the terms of the agreement, On-Site Sourcing shareholders will exchange
their shares for approximately 26.25 million U.S. Technologies shares and
$8.75 million in cash. U.S. Technologies operates as a developer of
Internet enterprises, with an emphasis on the support of technology-driven
start-ups and will provide On-Site Sourcing with needed capital to enhance
its digital imaging, document management, litigation reprographics
services, and facilities management services.
