USA.NET Launches Small Business E-Mail Solution

Electronic messaging provider USA.NET, Inc. today announced the release of
PostOffice.net, a Web-based e-mail solution specifically aimed at small- and medium-sized companies.


PostOffice.net is designed to enable companies to use their own personalized domain name to send and receive e-mail via a “postmaster” function in which domain administrators can manage employee e-mail addresses within their own company post office.


All e-mail accounts can be accessed via the World Wide Web and feature standard forwarding, filtering, auto responding, spam blocking, and attachment sending capabilities.


PostOffice.net can be integrated with previously existing e-mail systems, and is compatible with POP3 e-mail clients such as Netscape Mail, MS Outlook, and Eudora.


The product’s Postmaster function also allows businesses to customize their e-mail site by adding company logos, bulletin boards, information pages, and directories.

utilizing USA.NET’s proven, proprietary mail engine architecture,” said
John Street, CEO of USA.NET. “PostOffice.Net is for companies that want all the benefits of business e-mail, without getting into the e-mail business themselves.”


Colorado-based USA.NET is a partially owned by American Express
and helped to develop the American Express free e-mail system, AmExMail, as reported here on April 15.
