Seattle-based WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., a provider of Internet security solutions, announced today that VIA NET.WORKS, Inc. has selected its Managed Security Services (MSS) system as a core component of their VIA Security firewall and VPN service.

Reston, Virginia-based VIA NET.WORKS has already introduced its VIA Security managed service to businesses in France, Mexico and the United Kingdom in September 2000 and plans to extend service to other markets later this year.

According to VIA NET.WORKS VP of Marketing Timothy Galante, WatchGuard for MSS gives his company maximum flexibility to tailor its suite of VIA Security services for any size business, from small offices to large distributed enterprises with high-performance VPN requirements.
