a leading provider of push for e-business solutions, announced that it has
acquired the technology assets of Mobix Communications Ltd., a
leading provider of technology platforms for wireless data solutions, for
approximately $16 million in cash and stock. With the acquisition, BackWeb receives all Mobix software
technology and intellectual property rights, as well as key members of the
Mobix engineering team. The technical team will form the nucleus of
BackWeb’s wireless development efforts and will enable BackWeb to
accelerate its entry into the wireless market with its patented Polite push
technology.

has signed a definitive agreement to acquire FreBon International
Corporation, a privately-held provider of interactive video services
headquartered in McLean, Virginia. FreBon is a leader in the transport of
video, data and Internet-based technologies that support face-to-face
communications over interactive networks and will strengthen Net2000’s integrated bundle of service
offerings, providing a high-end ‘sticky’ application that will further fu
el
demand for its broadband network services. Under the terms of the
agreement, Net2000 will purchase all of the outstanding shares of FreBon in

semiconductor company Datum Telegraphic, which will contribute
