President and CEO of AdKnowledge Scott Kauffman Tuesday said he is jumping ship after the company completes its
merger with Engage Technologies.

John Mracek, the company’s vice president of engineering, is taking over the top job.

Kauffman, who was vice president and general manager of CompuServe before joining
AdKnowledge, will become president and CEO of eCoverage, an online insurance services
firm that launched this fall.

The change at the top comes as AdKnowledge enters the final stages of its
$193 million acquisition by Engage, a deal that is expected to close by the
end of the year.

Mracek, the company’s new president, has held positions in several
departments within AdKnowledge, which does analysis, data mining, and
campaign management.

Mracek’s background includes a long stint at Apple
Computer, where he held a variety of marketing positions.
