National online apartment guide Apartments.com and Snap, the Internet portal from NBC and CNET,
said that Apartments.com will become the exclusive apartment provider in the
Classifieds sections of all Snap Local Centers.

Additionally, Apartments.com will receive weekly ‘Web Spotlight’ promotions on
CNET Television’s nationally syndicated TV program, “Snap Presents TV.com.”
Now in its third season on-air, the weekly half-hour “Snap Presents TV.com”
series is co-hosted by Ron Reagan and Sofie Formica and is broadcast to more
than 120 markets nationwide.

As part of the multi-year deal, Apartments.com will be featured as the
exclusive apartment and relocation service on a new co-branded Apartment
Rentals page, located within the Classifieds sections of all Snap Local
Centers. Renters will be able to search the national Apartments.com database
directly from Snap by entering their desired city, state, zip code, rent range
and number of bedrooms. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

“As the exclusive apartment provider for Snap Classifieds, we will be able to
reach the growing number of renters turning to Snap to begin their apartment
search, which will help to increase exposure for our property manager
customers and deliver them more qualified leads,” said Bruce Mitchell,
president and general manager of Apartments.com.

The agreement also provides Apartments.com with extensive banner promotion
throughout Snap–including support of the Moving Center, where relocators can
find information on truck, furniture and appliance rental, community schools
and employment opportunities.

Based in Chicago and launched on the Internet as Apartments Plus in January
1997, Apartments.com was acquired by newspaper consortium Classified Ventures
in December 1997.
