Web measurement firm Media Metrix signed a strategic
alliance with Bloomberg L.P. to provide select
syndicated audience measurement data for regular distribution on Bloomberg’s
information service.
Through its alliance with Bloomberg, Media Metrix will support the financial
community by providing Internet audience ratings — including At Home and At
Work measurement.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Media Metrix said it has a growing roster of 45 financial clients that use
its data to gauge Internet companies’ performance in terms of attracting and
retaining visitors.
“By combining Media Metrix’ various measures — such as audience reach,
duration and loyalty — with our vast data and analysis on Internet companies
we are able to offer our customers an in-depth look at the trends taking
shape across the Internet,” said Bloomberg CIO Tom Secunda.
