CareerEngine, AdStar.com Launch Classified Partnership

CareerEngine Inc. and AdStar.com Inc., a provider of remote ad
entry solutions, signed a deal in which AdStar will provide its Web service
to permit the online selling and posting of employment ads on all of Career
Engine’s career sites.

As a result of the alliance, advertisers will now be able to use AdStar’s
Advertise123.com Web service for step-by-step creation, payment, and
placement of their job postings on CareerEngine’s network of 23 industry and
diversity specific career sites.

Previously, advertisers using AdStar’s services placed their job postings
predominantly in traditional print media.

CareerEngine. is a subsidiary of Helmstar Group Inc., a publicly traded
merchant bank. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.


“AdStar.com’s reputation within the industry will drive more advertiser
traffic to our Web sites and help accelerate our job-posting sales,” said Tom
Ferrara, president and CEO of CareerEngine.

“By making our advertising
opportunity broadly distributed on Advertise123.com, we will gain access to
additional advertisers and thereby expand the number of career postings for
our job candidates.”

AdStar.com (has installations at over 1,400 advertisers and 43 major
metropolitan newspapers. Through Advertise123.com, AdStar.com has expanded
its offerings and is developing a Web-based portal to provide one-stop
placement of and payment for classified advertising in a both print and
online publications, using one interface.
