Cliff Freeman and Partners Named AOR for Cyberian Outpost

Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York City was named agency-of-record
for Cyberian Outpost, the
Internet-only retailer of computer hardware, software and peripherals.


Cliff Freeman and Partners said it will be Cyberian Outpost’s strategic
partner for a
brand building and advertising effort. The decision follows a competitive
review involving three other undisclosed agencies. Billings were not
disclosed.


“We chose to partner with Cliff Freeman for their creativity, experience, and
industry recognized leadership,” said Cyberian’s founder and president Darryl
Peck. “Our goal in this national multi-media, multi-million dollar campaign is
to build awareness of our brand and keep Cyberian Outpost ahead of the
competition.”


“To date, there really hasn’t been any truly breakout
creative advertising for Internet companies,” said Cliff Freeman. “We are
delighted to have been
given the opportunity to set the creative standard in what is the fastest
growing area of marketing.”


Advertising is expected to appear nationally in TV, print and online beginning
in November.


Cliff Freeman and Partners is an independent advertising agency of Saatchi &
Saatchi plc. The agency claims billings of $300 million annually from clients
including Ameritech, Coca-Cola, Domecq Importers, FOX, General Mills,
Hollywood Video and Staples.
