Interactive ad veteran Gurbaksh Chahal launched a new ad technology firm called BlueLithium, where he will serve as chief business, marketing and technology visionary. In 1998, Chahal founded Click Agents, a cost-per-click network that was later acquired by ValueClick . After the merger, he stayed on as president, overseeing day-to-day operations of Click Agents/ValueClick. He also spent three years leading HennaSky, a venture firm where he focused on startups in emerging markets.

POPstick has established new domestic sales offices in Dallas, Austin and San Francisco, as well as a European base of operations in Paris, to meet what it describes as “a growing demand from Fortune 500 companies” for its POPgram interactive marketing solution.

The Paris office supports the company’s relationship with Microsoft’s Europe, Middle East and Asia groups, while the Dallas and Austin offices serve Microsoft and Dell, respectively. The company’s San Francisco team supports POPstick’s Silicon Valley clients, such as Cisco and Adobe. POPstick’s general manager and senior vice president of sales, Larry Levy, oversees all the company’s remote offices. The company now has six total points-of-presence.

Search engine marketing firm Oneupweb named Rachel North director of marketing and announced plans to grow its staff 30 percent during 2004’s first quarter. Marketing, account management and technical team members will join the company to better service its current and projected client base.

Online pharmaceutical marketing firm Cadient hired Corey Perine to the newly created post of director of marketing and strategic solutions. Perine co-founded i-Open, a direct-to-consumer digital ad firm where he implemented a national interactive advertising network for pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.

“Corey has consistently developed and delivered new media solutions for pharmaceutical and healthcare product manufacturers that enable them to broaden their consumer base,” said Cadient CEO Bob Weissman.
