NetCreations has promoted John Talierico to director of client services for SurveyDirect, its newly launched research division.

Taliercio spearheaded NetCreations’ foray into the market research vertical in 2000 and was instrumental in the launch of SurveyDirect, the company said. His appointment follows NetCreations’ hire of Mark Galliher as account manager for PostMasterDirect, its flagship e-mail marketing product.

Galliher was with McCann-Erickson Worldwide in New York for two years, managing campaigns for MasterCard and Salomon Smith Barney. He also worked several years at Marketing General and recently served on the board of directors for the American Marketing Association.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada has named Miles Faulkner as president. Faulkner is a former director of the IAB. He led Ernst & Young’s Internet solutions practice as a partner and is now principal of his own firm, Faulkner Consulting.

According to IAB Canada chairman Simon Jennings, Faulkner will be the architect of significant change in the trade body: “We are already seeing immediate progress in terms of a reorganization of our councils and major priorities.”

IAB Canada is a non-profit trade association representing a membership of publishers, advertisers, agencies and service associates in the Canadian Web marketing sector.
