CityXpress Corp, a technology firm that helps online newspapers run special features such as auctions, has appointed Bob Silver to its board of directors. Silver is president of The Silver Company, a Seattle-based PR firm. Prior to founding the agency in 1991, he spent 13 years as a reporter and editor for newspapers such as The St. Petersburg Times and The Seattle Times.

“As well as his expertise in the public relations field, Bob brings a wealth of experience gained through working with major newspapers throughout the United States,” said Phil Dubois, president and CEO of CityXpress. “The combination of strategic communications expertise and newspaper experience will be of tremendous assistance to us as we build on our early leadership in our markets.”

Josh Glantz recently joined incentive marketing firm ePrize as vice president of business development. Glantz said his initial contact with ePrize came a few years ago during his tenure as a principal at Rare Medium.

“I am proud to say that we have delivered more promotional campaigns than anyone in our industry,” Glantz said. “Our clients include GM, Hanes, ESPN and Conagra.”

Glantz will be based in New York City, helping to grow ePrize’s East Coast presence.
