Web software and services firm imagistic has signed six new Web development and digital marketing contracts. The accounts cut across several industry categories, including the banking, restaurant and non-profit segments.
Imagistic will provide a range of site enhancements for these new clients. For example, the firm will update and expand the online promotional areas within the California Pizza Kitchen Web site; build promotional tools for the Angel Records site, which belongs to Capitol Records; and develop new online direct marketing applications for software maker SVI.
Additionally, imagistic will expand the parents’ education section of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s TeachingTolerance.org site and create an online art appreciation and learning program for the Latino Museum of Los Angeles.
Two veteran ad agency creative directors have opened a new New York City-based creative boutique specializing in advertising, photography, and digital media. Called Storrs Ross Creative, the Manhattan firm was started by Scott Storrs and June Ross.
Storrs was most recently a partner and creative director at OgilvyOne New York, where he managed interactive projects for IBM. Ross was creative director at DDB New York, handling integrated branding for retail and travel accounts. She said the creative consultancy will give marketers the advantage of working one-on-one with senior level creatives without traditional agency expenditures.
e21corp, a public relations, marketing and Web development agency, has partnered with Chugai, a Japanese high tech marketing firm. The partnership will expand the companies’ marketing abilities abroad allowing them to service their clients in markets including North America, Japan, China and Taiwan.
The companies were originally brought together by joint account work on fiber optic component maker OpNext. While developing an international branding campaign, clear synergies between the two agencies emerged, resulting in a formal partnership. Both companies work almost exclusively with technology companies ranging from electrical component makers to enterprise software, and offer a full range of services including advertising, media, direct marketing and email marketing, public relations, event marketing and Web development.
“Japan has traditionally been seen as a difficult market for U.S. companies to penetrate, and Chugai serves many large U.S. and Japanese technology companies for their marketing communications needs in Japan,” said Masaru Toyama, president of Chugai. “Our clients are now looking to market in China because China is moving from being a manufacturing center into research and product development. Our clients can no longer ignore this emerging market and with e21, we can effectively service them in China.”
