Creative shop Deutsch NY has hired Karen Ellis as senior vice
president, group creative director. Most recently, Ellis was owner of
Company K, which handled advertising and identity branding for clients such
as The Limited, Coty for Isabella Rossellini’s Manifesto, and Heavy.com.
Before that, she was at McCann-Erickson as lead creative for the firm’s
L’Oreal account. She also worked on the Avon brand while with N.W.Ayer, and
on the client side at Estie Lauder, Cignal, and Webster Clothes.
Additionally, Ellis has worked with artists Roy Lichtenstein and Robert
Rauschenberg, and she designed “Torero,” a collection of works by fashion
photographer Ruven Afanador.

Deutsch said Ellis would be a key player in the agency’s business with
Revlon. Revlon, which initially awarded Deutsch the Almay brand in 2001,
consolidated the entire Revlon marketing account with the agency in January.

visionbox has launched a new corporate site for healthcare
product manufacturer Hollister. The project is a complete redesign of
Hollister’s online presence, including a proprietary content management
system and the capability for future multi-language, country-specific
development. So far, visionbox has launched the corporate site along with
sites for Hollister in the United States and Germany.

Interactive shop New Moon Media has added Lindon Gray Leader to
its executive creative team. Leader’s last role was that of executive
creative director at Addison San Francisco, where he led corporate identity
assignments for Hawaiian Airlines, Intelsat and Progress Energy. Before that he was at Bass/Yager Associates, Los Angeles, where he served as design
director for the Los Angeles Olympic organizing committee before owning a
design office in Pasadena for several years.
