InterVU Updates eyeQ Multimedia Manager

Aug 12, 1998

InterVU Inc., a network enabler
for video and other rich media, delivered a new version of its eyeQ Multimedia
Manager on CD-ROM that features four additional multimedia players.

The additional players are Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, Macromedia Flash and Shockwave, and the Cosmo VRML Player.

eyeQ automatically installs and updates various rich media players for end
users, freeing them from the hassle of multiple downloads and installations, the company said.

In addition to the new formats, eyeQ has been installing major formats
including Microsoft NetShow; VIVO; Vxtreme; MPEG; InstaVU; AVI; QuickTime; and RealNetworks’ RealMedia players for over a year.

In all, the new eyeQ CD will give users the opportunity to access 12 players.

“The new eyeQ release further strengthens InterVU’s position as a rich media
enabler by making a wide range of rich media tools available to the
marketplace. Partnerships with technology companies to incorporate their tools
help to promote and market the use of video and rich media,” said Ed Huguez,
COO, InterVU. “With InterVU’s eyeQ solution end users can sit back, relax and
watch video and rich media without worrying about incompatibilities.”

“Additionally, online advertisers and Web publishers deploying video and rich
media content have more flexibility with their messages and content,” he said.
