NetCreations Adds Seven New Sites to Opt-In E-Mail Network

New York City-based opt-in e-mail marketing company NetCreations Inc.
added Recommend-It and six other Web sites to its Internet advertising
network, bringing its total to 167 partner sites and more than 3 million
opt-in e-mail
addresses.

Recommend-It
is a service that lets Internet users recommend Web sites to friends,
family and co-workers. It will integrate the NetCreations signup form with
its own recommendation form to enable signups for relevant opt-in e-mail
lists. NetCreations’ PostMasterDirect.com will also
manage Recommend-It’s existing opt-in email list of 145,000 members.

Other new partner sites are Teen.com, a teen-oriented portal; Crosswinds, an online community
providing free personal home pages; TheMusicBase.com, a destination for
GenXers looking for information about new music and trends; 1001 Postcards, a site offering
free
virtual greeting cards; PocketStuffer, a resource for free
stuff on the Net and Submit Express, a free search
engine
submission service.

“The demand for high-quality, targeted opt-in e-mail lists is growing
faster
than the supply,” said NetCreations President Rosalind Resnick. “By
working
together with our new partners, we hope to be able to offer consumer and
business marketers the ability to target a wide variety of Internet users
on
a one-to-one basis in a fast, friendly and cost-effective way.”

NetCreations will store the new sites opt-in e-mail addresses in its
Oracle
database, provide e-mail delivery and merge/purge services, and offer the
lists for rental at 10 to 25 cents a name, including list rental, e-mail
distribution and merge/purge.
