Interactive agency K2 Design Inc. was selected by skymalltravel.com to create banner
advertising and direct e-mail marketing campaigns for the newly launched
business travel Web site.

skymalltravel.com is a vertical portal from skymall.com inc. and its parent
company SkyMall Inc. Billings were not disclosed.

As interactive agency of record, K2 has created several banners, including
one utilizing Enliven technology, to help drive traffic to four of
skymalltravel.com’s free services and to promote its “skymalltravel.com
Frequent Flyer Miles Sweepstakes.” K2 is also responsible for media buying
and placement. Initial buys include Go2.com, Weather.com, as well as the 24/7
and Click2Net networks.

K2 is also utilizing targeted direct e-mail to promote and target the
Sweepstakes to skymalltravel.com’s core market. E-mail will be directed to a
qualified list of users who opt-in to receive promotional materials on a
one-time only basis, the company said.

“The Web site was built with the intention of reaching business travelers who
need additional travel resources on-the-spot, and characteristically, have no
time or patience to browse through non-essential information,” said Sandy
Goldman, vice president, business development at skymall.com. “K2 has put our
brand in front of these results-oriented people in a way that engages them
instantly and brings them directly to our promoted services.”

Other K2 clients include Arthur Andersen, NCR, Puerto Rico Convention Bureau,
Sony Online Entertainment, Standard & Poor’s and VarsityBooks.com.
