Vancouver, BC-based Uniglobe Travel Online Inc. said it has
added search site AltaVista to its marketing campaign.
Spending was not disclosed.

“Our advertising relationship with AltaVista will help bring Web shoppers to
the uniglobe.com site who are interested in cruise vacations and looking for
the best in product and in customer service,” said Michael Dauberman, UTO’s
senior vice president of operations.

The AltaVista advertising relationship includes running UTO banner
advertisements on cruise-related pages generated by the search engine. The
AltaVista advertising relationship complements the current campaign running
on both Yahoo! and Microsoft Web sites.

UTO provides products and services to leisure and business travelers as well
as operating a travel fulfillment center for online companies. Strategic
partners include Microsoft Expedia, Yahoo!, Galileo International, Autobytel.com, Internet Travel
Network and Leisure Planet.
