Digital software company Vsoft Ltd. Monday joined with video search engine firm Virage Inc. to produce an automatic indexing feature to
its management and distribution software suite.

The integration of the two products will enable real-time viewing while
encoded video and indexing information is simultaneously being acquired live, the companies said.
Moreover, this solution provides broadcast organizations with the ability to
index and manage multiple live input.

Virage’s VideoClick bookmarking implementation is used to hold the frame accurate indexing, while
controlling the video content workflow within the organization.

In addition, the software package allows organizations that possess large
amounts of video content to create new revenue generating opportunities
through ‘repurposing’ existing, but often inaccessible video assets. Using
VideoClick’s powerful search and instant MPEG streaming capabilities, users
can efficiently and accurately retrieve the desired video content, the company said.
