Blue Box Cloud Gets New Leadership

Jesse Proudman started Blue Box Group in 2003 to provide hosting for complex open-source applications. Proudman is stepping back from the role of CEO and has hired Matthew Schiltz, the former CEO of Tier 3, to replace him. Tier 3 was acquired by CenturyLink in November 2013.

In a video interview with eWEEK, Proudman discusses how and why he chose Schiltz to become CEO of Blue Box. With the new CEO in place, Proudman becomes the CTO and will help set the technical strategic direction for the company. Blue Box Group has raised $9 million to date in funding and has 600 customers that use its managed and private cloud hosting environments.
