Bluefly.com Becomes Tenant In AOL’s Shopping Channel

Pivot Rules Inc. signed an agreement with America Online
for its
online apparel store, Bluefly.com, to
become a tenant in the
Apparel Department of AOL’s Shopping Channel, effective today.


Bluefly.com is an online designer outlet store that sells discounted name
brand clothing. It will also have permanent links to its Web site from AOL.com and CompuServe. Financial arrangements were
not disclosed.


“We are excited to be partnering with America Online for our first major
online commerce deal. This is not only a vehicle to drive traffic to
Bluefly.com but also a great branding opportunity to leverage our early entry
into the online apparel category,”
said Jonathan Morris, executive vice president of Pivot Rules.


Bluefly said it will also receive promotional and joint marketing benefits as
