Diversinet Corp., a provider of
authentication and authorization security for digital communications and e-
commerce, said it formed a strategic alliance with accounting, tax and
consulting firm Deloitte & Touche.

Under terms of the agreement, Diversinet will provide Deloitte & Touche with
its Passport Certificate Server product, which issues digital certificates
that associate a globally unique identifier to protect user privacy, as well
as training for the software and technical support. Financial arrangements
were not disclosed.

Deloitte & Touche will provide its clients with consulting and integration
services for the Diversinet technology. Both companies will mutually refer
their products and services to their client base.

The combination of Deloitte & Touche’s security consulting and Diversinet’s
network security solutions will help satisfy the rapidly expanding e-commerce
market, and will address the privacy issues facing many enterprises, the
companies said.

“Deloitte & Touche attracts clients that are already seeking security measures
for their networks. We are delighted to continually form key alliances that
will assist Diversinet in reaching more customers and fulfilling the
increasing needs for efficient and confidential network access and transaction
security systems,” said Nagy Moustafa, Diversinet president and CEO.

“There is a great challenge in protecting the privacy of users, and the
integrity of information travelling on public networks, especially in the
evolving e-commerce market,” said Harry DeMaio, president of Deloitte & Touche
Security Services LLC. “Our strategic alliance with Diversinet enables us to
offer our clients a scalable and efficient public key technology solution.”
