Junglee Corp., a company that lets shoppers locate, compare and buy millions of products and services on the Internet, launched the Junglee Shopping Guide by Compaq, a new way to shop on the Web.

Web consumers who are using new Presario PCs from Compaq Computer can hit the
e-commerce button on their keyboard and connect instantly with a secure site
that contains the Junglee Shopping Guide by Compaq.

The shopping guide has nine categories to choose from including apparel,
books, department stores, electronics, general merchandise, gifts, movies and
videos, outdoor gear and toys.

“Junglee is committed to making it easier for people to locate, compare and
transact products from across the Web,” said Ram Shriram, president and COO of
Junglee. “Our partnership with Compaq makes it extremely convenient for both
Web savvy consumers and especially for Web newcomers. Consumers simply hit the
e-commerce button on their Presario Easy Access Internet keyboard and voila!
they’re connected to the shopping guide.”

The Junglee Shopping Guide by Compaq uses Junglee’s virtual database (VDB)
technology to bring product information directly from merchant Web sites into
a common database that shoppers can sort through based on their specific
needs.

For example, if you pick the apparel category, and select the sub-
category called outerwear, you get back selections from seven merchants and
over seventy brands. You can then easily compare and sort by merchant, product
name, and price. Other information such as color, shipping costs,
availability, and more product information is also presented.
