IDT’s Click2Talk Signs Pact with 1-800-FLOWERS

Nov 13, 1998

IDT Corp. signed an agreement to
integrate its Click2Talk application into the Web sites
of 1-800-FLOWERS, allowing shoppers to
speak through their computers to sales and customer service representatives on
the telephone via the Internet.

Click2Talk offers Web users a live phone connection without the inconvenience
of having to log off the Internet, while offering businesses the opportunity
to enhance client relations by adding the element of voice contact for customer interaction.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

When a customer accesses the www.1800flowers.com order form for international
services, for example, the Click2Talk icon appears right on the site. The
customer may click on the icon and the call will be routed over the Internet
from the consumer’s PC to a live representative at 1-800-FLOWERS, enabling the
customer to ask questions about
specific products or policies.

Additionally, because calls are routed over the Internet until they reach
the U.S., international customers can reach toll-free numbers that are
inaccessible through traditional long distance phone service.

“The e-commerce industry offers numerous applications and
services to Web consumers, but live interaction is integral when it comes to
building customer relations. With Click2Talk, we can offer our customers the
best of both worlds.”

Click2Talk works in conjunction with Net2Phone, IDT’s Internet telephony
division.
