iMall Inc. in Studio City, CA, and Agoura, CA-based Cardservice International
(CSI), a transaction processing company, are partnering to build an online
mall for CSI’s 150,000+ merchants.

The Cardservice Mall powered by
iMall
will offer CSI’s growing base of merchants iMall’s iSTORE, a
turnkey e-commerce application for designing and managing Web storefronts.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

“This partnership is an ideal combination of strengths,” said Richard
Rosenblatt, chairman and CEO of iMall. “iMall’s e-commerce technology is an
affordable and simple way to build and manage a storefront quickly and cost
effectively. We will provide CSI merchants with a collection of Web site
designs and features, ranging from a simple online brochure that describes
their services, to a fully transactional site offering thousands of products
and secure online payment.”

The agreement enables CSI to strengthen its prominence in the merchant card
industry by offering a premier turnkey e-commerce solution to all its merchant account customers, the company said. The options for businesses will include Web hosting, site design and management, a transaction-enabled Web site and full merchandising capabilities.

iMall offers its electronic commerce services directly to merchants, as well
as through partnerships with ISPs, Web hosting firms, and financial service
companies with an Internet focus. The company also operates a shopping mall on the Internet with more than
1,600 hosted storefronts.
