Impulse Upgrades E-Commerce Site Builder

Impulse Software
released Impulse 4.0, an advanced, consumer-based app that allows non-
technical small business owners to create and manage an e-commerce Web site
using any ISP.

Impulse 4.0 is more than just a shopping cart program, the company said; it is
a comprehensive application that can be used to create a fully functional and
secure commerce-enabled site “in less than 30 minutes.”

Merchants can incorporate their product descriptions and price list and
publish them to the Internet without any other Web development tool. Impulse
4.0 also can add e-commerce to an existing Web site.

Impulse 4.0 also integrates with popular business accounting packages like
QuickBooks and Peachtree. When merchants update their accounting software,
like adjusting prices and adding products, there’s no need to re-import, re-
enter or reset anything. Instead, with just one click, Impulse 4.0
automatically uploads the required files immediately, and instantly updates
the entire Web site.

Impulse 4.0 includes a credit card verification and transaction module and
provides access to a secure server with no additional charges. The system is
delivered standard with both SSL and PGP 5.5.

“Impulse 4.0 is an advanced, consumer-based e-commerce builder that enables
any non-technical merchant to easily and cost-effectively create and
administer a state-of-the-art e-commerce Web site,” said Chad Thompson, vice
president of sales for Impulse Software.

“It includes the same sophisticated
shopping cart technology used by the industry’s premier e-commerce packages,
providing small businesses with access to the best technology at an affordable
price.”

The Impulse 4.0 package sells for a suggested retail price of $295. For an
additional $99, users can also purchase an extended license that provides a
full year of technical support, all upgrades within the version, and discounts
on later releases.
