INTERSHOP Communications and Open Market are teaming up to offer INTERSHOP CommerceLink 1, a link product that integrates the merchandising and hosting features of INTERSHOP Mall with Open Market Transact.

Transact is transaction processing and order management software designed
for business conducted over the Internet. CommerceLink is currently
scheduled for availability in the second quarter for the Microsoft Windows
NT, HP-UX, Sun Solaris, and SGI IRIX hardware platforms.

San Francisco-based INTERSHOP and Burlington, MA-based Open Market embarked on a strategic partnership in November 1997, targeting telecommunication
companies and Internet service providers worldwide.

“We are pleased to be Open Market’s strategic partner for providing
sophisticated e-commerce hosting applications to the telco and ISP markets,”
said Stephan Schambach, president and CEO of INTERSHOP. “CommerceLink 1 joins
two award-winning products and creates a solution that meets the most exacting standards of shoppers, merchants and hosts.”
