MindSpring to Use Intershop Platform for E-Commerce

Intershop Communications, a provider of
electronic commerce hosting solutions, will deliver the technology platform
for the electronic commerce offering of Internet service provider MindSpring Enterprises Inc.

Using Intershop 3 Hosting Edition and the Intershop 3 e-pages cartridge,
MindSpring will roll out a variety of electronic commerce services to its
customer base.

MindSpring said it will target small-to-medium-sized businesses, offering
everything from a template-based starter site to a sophisticated virtual store
that can be customized to suit various needs.

MindSpring customers may access the new electronic commerce tools via the
MindSpring control panel. A step-by-step wizard walks the customer through
designing and building a store, processing and managing online payment,
inventory
control and store administration.
