Minneapolis-based NetRadio Network, a broadcaster of Internet-only audio content, launched SoftwarePoint, an online resource with 6,500 software titles for sale.

With the recently introduced CDPoint, the new commerce site represents the second phase of NetRadio’s C-Commerce (short for “content-enabled commerce”) strategy.

As with CDPoint, NetRadio’s listeners will be able to simply “listen, click,
and purchase” whatever software title is being offered via a targeted
promotional announcement.

SoftwarePoint was developed with the assistance of Chumbo, a provider of online software products.

Said Jan Andersen, NetRadio’s senior vice president of sales and marketing,
“As with CDPoint, SoftwarePoint will capture the impulse purchase power
inherent in listening to any of NetRadio’s on-demand audio channels. If, for
example, you are listening to our KidzRadio channel, you will be informed
about special offers on a great number of educational software titles from
SoftwarePoint.”

NetRadio Network is a subsidiary of Navarre Corp. a publisher and distributor of consumer software and entertainment products.
