Open Market Inc.
Monday licensed its Transact software to America Online to support the electronic commerce capabilities of several areas on AOL.

Transact will initially be employed within the AOL Classifieds and Love@AOL
areas to enhance the ability of AOL members to conduct electronic commerce
there. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Helping AOL offer its members easy and convenient services is a terrific opportunity for us to
demonstrate the power of our software,” said Gary Eichhorn, president and CEO of Open Market.

Founded in 1994, Open Market provides software products and professional
services that allow its customers to engage in business-to-consumer and
business-to-business Internet commerce, information commerce, and commercial
publishing.
