Open Market Inc. in Burlington, MA formed an alliance with Japanese systems integrator Fujitsu SSL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd.
Fujitsu SSL will provide systems integration services to its customers
building complete Internet commerce solutions using Open Market’s Transact
Internet commerce software package and its enterprise Internet catalog
application, LiveCommerce. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Fujitsu SSL will be providing its customers with technical and business
consulting services during all phases of the Internet commerce application
implementation from planning and development, to implementation and training.
The company will focus on delivering a reliable, scaleable, and complete
Internet commerce system to its customers, using Open Market’s software as the core products.
Fujitsu SSL established a Network Business Division to promote and sell these
systems to large enterprises.

Fujitsu SSL provides information systems solutions to its customers and is
strongly focused in the information technology fields of Data Warehousing,
GIS, telecommunications, network infrastructure and multimedia content
creation.
