Qpass Signs Pact with beenz.com

Content and services e-commerce company Qpass signed an agreement with Web currency
company beenz.com that lets Qpass merchant partners
accept beenz as a payment option for digital commerce transactions.


The deal expands the range of payment options offered by Qpass for digital
commerce, including all major credit cards, debit card, and direct Internet
Service Provider (ISP) billing.


Through its end-to-end Digital Commerce Service, Qpass provides the
transaction infrastructure behind such sites as The Wall Street Journal
Interactive Edition, New York Times on the Web, latimes.com, Corbis, NHL.com,
Dreamlife.com and Forbes.com.


Under terms of the agreement, consumers will be able to spend beenz for
digital purchases, such as news and information, images, music, videos,
services and financial data, from Qpass partners.


Financial arrangements were
not disclosed.


Consumers earn beenz by visiting, interacting with, or shopping at
participating
Web sites. The company says it has more than a million registered users.
