RealEstate.com Signs Deals for Commercial Listings

B2B real estate solutions company RealEstate.com, moving to bolster its
position in the commercial real estate space online, signed agreements with
three commercial listings and information providers.

The company said it now has “one of the most diverse and focused online
databases of available commercial real estate space.”

Deals were signed with ApartmentSales.com, a provider of
apartment listings; Webrealestate.com, an information
marketplace for commercial real estate professionals; and 1031properties.com, an investment
property listing site for individuals.

The agreements call for development of co-branded Web applications and
provide businesses with access to listings posted by all three Web site
operations. Financial specifics were not disclosed.

Each of the co-branded sites will be hosted, operated and maintained by the
listings providers. RealEstate.com will provide an integrated search engine,
encompassing the three co-branded sites.

Business owners and real estate
professionals will be able to initiate searches based on desired location,
property type and desired transaction type (purchase/lease), while also
having access to RealEstate.com’s other products and services including
customized, individual Web sites, market data and financing.

Brokers will also be able to access the listings through the
password-protected Resource Center, part of a customized, individual
CommercialPlus Web site offered by RealEstate.com.

“Access to more listings increases the brokers’ ability to service their
clients, driving greater market penetration and higher revenues,” said
RealEstate.com Managing Director Andy Thomas. Earlier this year the company
signed a similar alliance with commercial real estate site Cityfeet.com.
