ModaCAD Inc. said that Trussardi SpA, a
leader in international fashion and industrial design, agreed to participate in the ModaCAD and Intel co-developed e-business solution for fashion.
Trussardi is an Italian fashion design house with annual sales in excess of $500 million and approximately 200 retail locations worldwide. Its approach to fashion blends fine art, lifestyle, and technology.
Based upon the proven success of its “virtual fashion” technology in European
and other international markets, Trussardi said it is continuing to explore
new technological methods of driving its fashion house’s styles through the
Internet.
“This agreement with Trussardi signifies the diversity of retailers and manufacturers that ModaCAD is signing for inclusion in this breakthrough Internet content manager,” said Joyce Freedman, chief executive officer of ModaCAD. “Our e-business solution for fashion will include something for everybody’s taste and sense of style.”
Trussardi said it plans to unveil a new fashion line which is being designed
specifically to cater to the trendy young women’s demographic which is being
targeted via the Net.
ModaCAD has developed a technology for rendering that produces photo-realistic simulations, ideal for fashion showings in a 3-D virtual shopping environment linked with transaction applications.
